Bernat Pont Anglada

I’m Bernat, a Catalan composer and performer who is interested in creating new artistic experiences through humor, impact and love.

In my projects I work with sound, image and narrative, trying to create, through a collaborative process, the best serious humouristic transdisciplinary performative traditional experimental multimedia emotive pop instalative shows.

My works have been performed internationally, including i have a crush :) (supported by OSIC and performed by Vertixe Sonora), How to Bread (awarded the WE:NOW Music Prize and performed by Proxima Centauri) or the installation BARCELONA (exhibited at I23 Museum).  As a performer, I collaborate in projects by other artists as well as developing my own, and I am an active improviser on piano and electronic set. I am also a member of the free improvisation group BMC3io and a founding member of COCAINE HIPPOS (collective formed by composer-performers and performer-composers), with whom we were awarded the KÖSTER-PREIS 2023 at the realtime-festival in Bremen. Most recently, I am in residence for 2025–26 at the Akademie der Künste Berlin.

In 2025, Bernat took part in Mixtur's Composition and Sound Experimentation Workshop as part of his Ulysses Journey.
