Filippo Scaramucci

Born in Ancona, Italy, Filippo started his musical career as a classical guitarist. He has given concerts in Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Canada.

He began his compositional studies at Conservatorio Rossini in Pesaro. During 2023/24, he took part in the Erasmus programme to attend courses in Paris at the PSPBB with J.L. Hervé. He has participated in numerous master classes in both interpretation and composition. Currently he is enrolled in a Master's in Composition at the Conservatorio di Mantova with M. Azzan.

His current interest as a composer is to create a listening experience in which we feel like lost in a labyrinth. Recurring elements are shown under different lights and are organised in a non-linear evolution, creating an unpredictable form.

His compositions have been performed internationally by ensembles such as Latvian Radio Choir, Ensemble Hopper, Ensemble TM+, Ensemble Onceim, Sputter Box Trio and by Italian ensembles such as Mdi Ensemble, Maurice String Quartet, Icarus VS Muzac, Ensemble Achrome.

Supported by the ULYSSES Platform, Filippo was selected to take part in the composition workshop and subsequent concert in the context of Jazeps Vītols Latvian Music Academy's contemporary music festival "deciBels" 2026.
