Suzuné Masumoto was born in Tokyo, Japan and began studying the violin at the age of four.

After studying at the Toho Gakuen Music High School and the Toho Gakuen School of Music, she is currently continuing her studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt in the class of Prof. Erik Schumann. She also takes private lessons with Prof. Kirill Troussov.
She has gained a solid musical foundation through her engagement with the classical repertoire and her experience as an academy member of the MDR Symphony Orchestra.

Suzuné was a recipient of the Deutschlandstipendium and, has participated in masterclasses with leading musicians, including Prof. Christoph Poppen, supported by a full scholarship from Echo Arts Munich. She was also selected, with full scholarship support from Instituts für zeitgenössische Musik (HfMDK Frankfurt), to take part in the Violin Studio of the Darmstädter Ferienkurse. In 2025, she was a member of the Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra.

Additionally from 2026 as a fellow of the ATAK Academy, founded by artist Keiichiro Shibuya, she explores interdisciplinary collaboration, production, and curatorial practices with various young artists across different fields.

Her artistic interests span both the classical repertoire and contemporary music, with a particular focus on exploring the connections between these traditions and discovering new sonic possibilities.

Supported by the ULYSSES Platform, Suzuné Masumoto is currently a member of the International Ensemble Modern Akademie (IEMA) 2025/2026
