AIM
Aion Laboratory is a dedicated division of Ise-Shima Art Company, established with the mission of advancing and promoting digital art. Through innovative initiatives and support for creators, Aion Laboratory aims to foster the growth of digital artistic expression and its appreciation worldwide.
We are organizing the digital art competition to showcase the fusion of artistic creativity and technology, providing a platform for innovative expressions in the digital realm.
The competition embraces a broad definition of digital art, welcoming submissions across all forms of digital creation. This includes but is not limited to:
- Computer Art: Works created entirely or in part using computer-generated imagery or algorithms.
- Electronic Art: Artworks utilizing electronic technologies, such as digital installations or interactive systems.
- Multimedia Art: Creations that integrate multiple digital media, such as text, images, audio, and video, into a cohesive artistic expression.
- New Media Art: Innovative works that explore emerging technologies, such as augmented reality, virtual reality, or artificial intelligence.
ACCEPTABLE FORMATS
Submissions are accepted in the following formats:
- Document Formats: Digital text-based works, including PDF, DOCX, or other commonly used formats.
- Image Formats: Visual works, such as JPEG, PNG, or TIFF.
- Movie Formats: Time-based works like video art, animations, or short films in formats like MP4, AVI, or MOV.
- Audio Formats: Sound art or musical compositions in formats such as MP3 or WAV.
ELIGIBILITY
- Our competition is open to all nationalities.
- No age limit.
- Artists who are in close private relations with Ise-Shima Art Company members may not apply the competition. Ise-Shima Art Company members: https://www.iseshimaart.com/about-us
- A work which is solely made by AI is not acceptable.
APPLICATION PROCESS
- Competitor Online Application – AVAILABLE January 1, 2025
- DEADLINE: March 1, 2026 (23:59 GMT: https://greenwichmeantime.com/current-time/)
- A digital artwork solely by an applicant must be submitted.
- Application Fee – A non-refundable payment of 3,000 Yen (approximately 20 US Dollars) can be paid via following page after fulfilling the form (credit card or PayPal): https://www.iseshimaart.com/digitalartprize
- All important messages will be sent by info at iseshimaart.com. Confirm the e-mail setting to receive the messages from this e-mail address.
- Depending on a situation, we may ask winners to send us a copy of ID.
- Applicants must ensure that their full name is accurately written on the application form, as it will appear on the certificate.
GENERAL RULE
- The submitted work may be already exhibited or awarded.
- Applicants may submit more than one work, but must complete a separate entry form and fee for each work.
- The work must be uploaded in a file hosting service (such as Google Drive / Dropbox) or media sharing platform (such as Soundcloud / Youtube / Youku / Vimeo). At first, please upload your work on one of these websites.
- Ensure that the judges can access your work by selecting the proper settings until the competition results are announced.
- An incomplete application may be disqualified.
- All applicants retain the copyright to their work, but by participating, you give us the right to feature, share, and showcase your submission on our website and promotional materials.
- Under no circumstances can alterations be made to works once submitted.
- The judging panels’ decisions are final.
- Application of the competition constitutes acceptance by the contestant of all published rules, regulations and procedures.
- Aion Laboratory reserves the right, in conjunction with the Competition judge, not to award the prizes, to change the regulation, or to reduce or split the prize money if, in the opinion by the judge, such action is justified for any reason.
- Ise-Shima Art committee members will judge submitted works.

PRIZES
- 1 Aion Digital Art Grand Prize - 50,000 Yen with a certificate
- Up to 35 Aion Digital Art Prize winners with certificates
- The printed certificate will be dispatched within a month after publishing the result.
The result will be notified by email at the end of March 2026 and will be published on our website.
