I. General Provisions Mayflower Art Center, established in 2017, is an institution dedicated to music education and performance. The first MusicON International Composition Competition was held in 2022, and this year marks the fourth edition of the competition. This year’s MusicON Composition Competition is a part of the MusicOn+ InterArts Festival. Finalist works will be premiered in New York. 

II. Organization Host: Mayflower Art Center Organizer: MusicON Chamber Orchestra Jury: - Wang Lu, Associate Professor of Music at Brown University - Felipe Lara, Associate Professor in the Composition Department at Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University 

III. Competition Requirements 1. Open to participants under 30 (born after April 1, 1996), regardless of nationality. 2. Works must be for 2–6 performers using designated instruments (strings, winds, piano, harp, guitar, percussion). No electronic or pre-recorded music. 3. Duration: 5–8 minutes (indicate clearly on score cover). 4. Original works after 2023, unpublished/unperformed/unawarded. One submission per participant. Anonymous score required. 5. Registration fee: $25 USD. 6. Materials: score (PDF), photo, ID/passport. 7. Deadline: July 31, 2026, 12:00 PM (ET). 8. Non-compliant submissions will be disqualified. 9. IV. Selection Method 1. Anonymous evaluation. 2. 4–6 finalists selected. 3. Prizes: $2000 (Ages 18 and above Winner Prize), $500 (Ages 18 and above Honorable Mention), $1000 (Under 18 Winner Prize). 4. Winners receive video and certificates. 

V. Concert Arrangements Dates: October 3–4, 2026 Venue: The Blanc Space, New York Ensemble: MusicON Chamber Orchestra 

VI. Announcement of Results Results announced before August 10, 2026 on musiconchamberorchestra.org 

VII. Additional Information Winners retain copyright. Organizer has non-commercial usage and premiere rights. Jury decision is final. 

VIII. Competition Registration Link The MusicOn+ InterArts Festival is an interdisciplinary arts festival that brings visual art and musical performance into a shared structural framework, creating a space where sound, image, and ideas interact.
