Olga Neuwirth, Composer in Residence of the Grafenegg Festival 2026, invites emerging composers to work not only as creators of new orchestral works but also as conductors of their own scores in the Ink Still Wet workshop.

What the Workshop Offers:

• Compose and premiere a new orchestral work (5–7 minutes)
• Conduct your own piece in rehearsal with the Tonkünstler Orchestra, one of Grafenegg’s resident ensembles
• Mentoring by Olga Neuwirth (Workshop Leader) and conducting coaching by Brad Lubman
• Two work phases: 21 – 24 April 2026 (Grafenegg & Vienna), and 14 – 22 August 2026 during the Grafenegg Festival
• Premiere of your work in concert on 21 August 2026, Auditorium Grafenegg

What’s Covered & Who Can Apply:

• Full funding: travel, accommodation, daily expenses are fully funded by the Grafenegg Festival (NO application or participation fee)
• Open to emerging composers who want hands-on experience in both composition and conducting (no age limit)
