TEC-ensemble (pno-sax-perc)

An important part of the workshop is the testing and discussion with the performers of the instrumental techniques used in relation to the musical narrative selected by the workshop (the time), but the repertoire for this trio will also be treated from major works. Therefore, it is accompanied by seminars, classes with the teachers, preliminary work with the students' projects and face-to-face work during the Festival Encontre de Compositors 2026.

Selection of applicants: from July 31 (assignmentof works)

Sessions:

Online (July-September-October-November 2026)

The first session is a welcome seminar that introduces ideas from the repertoire and the sound world of the trio (sax-pno-perc) as well as the work theme proposed during this workshop. It combines notions of composition and musical analysis. Until September 25, online support is offered to students from all the ensemble teachers for the development of a part of the composition (1-2 minutes). On September 25, it is tested in a meeting with the ensemble and the reflections of the ensemble teachers are proposed to the students.

Face-to-face (December 12/13- ACA Foundation)

During the two days, the works will be worked on with the performers and composers and recorded.

Accommodation for applicants

The Foundation provides free accommodation during the in-person days for the first 5

selected registrations. (The foundation will help manage the accommodation for the rest of the selected

composers).
