Duo  LUMA / Call for scores

Duo LUMA, comprised of guitarist Silvia Kopáčová and accordionist Maria Schlenker, both highly specialized in contemporary music performance, is excited to announce its inaugural Call for Scores, seeking innovative compositions that explore the unique sonic possibilities of the guitar and accordion duo combination. With the aim of expanding the contemporary repertoire for this distinctive instrumentation and promoting emerging compositional voices, we invite composers worldwide to submit original works as well as to begin a collaborative process that pushes the traditional boundaries of chamber music.

The call is reaching out internationally to all composers, regardless of their age, nationality, ethnic background, or gender. Works can be  both purely acoustic or including fixed media and live electronics. Concepts for collaboration are also accepted.

Guidelines for submission:

  • Applicants may submit up to three works.
  • Submitted works must not exceed 20 minutes in length.
  • Deadline: October 31st, 2025 (11.59am CET)
  • Submission Fee: 10 € per score (paid via PayPal to: via_nova@web.de)

The selected works will be performed at least twice during the 2025/26 concert series of Ensemblekollektiv Connect, of which Duo LUMA  is a founding member. The composers of the selected works will receive a travel stipend for attending the rehearsal and at least one of the concerts.
