European Creative Contest

The European Creative Contest 2026, promoted by Euregio Klassika, is an international composition competition dedicated to the promotion, enhancement and dissemination of contemporary music. The initiative aims to create a meeting point between composers, performers, musical institutions and cultural organisations, encouraging dialogue, creativity and new collaborations at both local and international levels.

The theme of the 2026 edition is “Unity”: from the richness of different traditions to the creation of a common musical language, inspired by the values of cooperation and solidarity.

The competition is divided into two sections:

Choir, for equal or mixed voices;

Chamber Ensemble, from Trio to Chamber Orchestra.

Compositions must be inspired by the theme “Unity”, be unpublished, and have a duration between 4 and 20 minutes.

The total prize fund is €2,300

A special Young Creative Contest Prize, awarded by the popular jury, is also available for composers who will be under 35 years of age on 20 October 2026.

Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on 20 October 2026 and must include the score in PDF format and a YouTube link in Unlisted mode containing an audio recording of the submitted composition. The entry fee is €30 for each composition.

The international jury will meet in Trento on 28 and 29 October 2026, at the Sala degli Affreschi of the Municipal Library, to evaluate the selected works and award the prizes.
