Call for Volunteers: Foresty International Music Festival 2026

Foresty International Music Festival is looking for motivated and dynamic people who want to dive into an international artistic environment, collaborating on the success of an event that brings together great composers and performers, young talents and musical research.

Where the activity takes place
Volunteering activities will mainly take place in Montaldeo (AL) and the neighbouring villages of Alto Monferrato. The headquarters and central point of the festival will be the Casa della Musica San Michele, an artistic residence that hosts courses and workshops, offering equipped workspaces and environments suitable for sharing.

Period of activity
The festival will take place between 1st July and 30th August 2026. The main activities are linked to the following events:

● Contemporary Percussion Gathering: 5th-12thJuly. 
● Free Improvisation Workshop: 15th-19thJuly.
● Composition Masterclass: 22nd-27thJuly.
● String Quartet Masterclass: 31stJuly-4thAugust.

Basic requirements
To apply, you must meet the following requirements:

• ●  Be of adult age(18+years).
  Good knowledge of English (the festival hosts teachers and students from all over the world).
• ●  Driving licence (Italian type B or equivalent).
• ●  Minimum availability of 5consecutive days during the festival period.

What we are looking for (Tasks) Volunteers will be involved in various areas:

• ●  Caregiving and internal logistics: supportin kitchen management and cleaning/tidying both in the common areas and in the studios of the Casa della Musica.
• ●  Transport and errands: availability to drive students, teachers, musicians and guests to and from the nearest railway stations and concert venues; transport of materials for rehearsals or concerts; purchase of supplies (supermarket, pharmacy, etc.).
• ●  Set-up and production: supportin preparing thefestival venues, cleaning the concert halls, arranging chairs, setting up and disassembling the stage.

• ●  Active presence: willingness to participate and support the organisation during courses and open lessons.

  Ideal requirements (Nice to have)
  Applications will be evaluated positively if they present:

• ●  Knowledge of asecond EU language in addition to English.
• ●  Own means of transport.
• ●  Technical skills in audio/video recording.
• ●  Audio/video editing and audio mixing skills.

• ●  Social media management and content creation skills(to support the festival's online communication and the production of dedicated material).

  What the festival offers
  In exchange for your valuable support, the festival guarantees:

• ●  Free board and lodging for the entire period of volunteering.
• ●  Full insurance coverage in case of accidents.
• ●  Free admission to all events: concerts, open lectures, conferences and performances.

• ●  Certificate of participation, useful for your CV or for recognition of training credits.
