Mixtur Improvisation Workshop with Josep Lluís Galiana

Registrations are still open for the Mixtur 2026 Improvisation Workshop in Barcelona.

The workshop will be led by Josep Lluís Galiana, saxophonist, improviser, composer and musicologist, and will take place from October 22 to 25, 2026. Aimed at both students and professional improvisers of any age and nationality, the workshop will adapt its contents to the number of participants and the instruments involved.

The programme includes three working sessions, a masterclass in which Josep Lluís Galiana will present his artistic practice, and participation in the workshop’s final concert, which will form part of the official programme of Festival Mixtur 2026. Participants will also have access to conferences and masterclasses by Agustí Charles, Barblina Meierhans, Elsa Biston, Isabel Mundry, José María Sánchez-Verdú, Sarah Nemtsov and Simon Steen-Andersen, as well as free access to most festival activities.

The application deadline is June 6, 2026.
