DramaEtMusica Mini Festival 2026 will take place September 4–6, 2026 at Chain Theatre in New York, featuring two days of performances presenting interdisciplinary works across sound, movement, theatre, film, visual media, technology, and live performance.

Presented as an expanded edition of the DramaEtMusica interdisciplinary performance series, the festival welcomes proposals from composers, musicians, sound artists, theater directors, filmmakers, choreographers, performers, and interdisciplinary creators working across artistic disciplines and media. We are currently accepting submissions for both completed works that have been previously performed and works-in-progress that are near completion and ready for performance.

Eligible works must incorporate live performance and may include, but are not limited to:

  • New Music Theatre
  • Video + Live Sound
  • Interactive Sound Installation
  • Choreographed Performance with Live Music
  • Live Electronics / Mixed Media Performance
  • Other interdisciplinary works exploring sound in innovative ways

Performance Details

Location: Chain Theatre (Mainstage), New York
Performance Dates: September 4–6, 2026 (exact date TBA)
Duration: 8–20 minutes per work

Available Performers:
Up to 4 performers may be provided by Chaospace. Applicants are responsible for any additional performers required by the project. (Piano is not available at the venue)

 

Artist Honorarium

Each selected project will receive a $300 artist honorarium. 

Participation Requirements

-Selected artists must be present in New York for the final rehearsal and performance.

-If the work involves complex interdisciplinary elements (e.g., choreography, movement-based performance, live electronics using Max/MSP or SuperCollider), the creator must participate in 2–3 rehearsal sessions.
