[OPEN CALL] for COMPOSERS, PERFORMERS, CONDUCTORS & ENSEMBLES

August 2026 - June 2027

A residency program for performers and composers, dedicated to formation, development, and performance of new compositional works. 

Theme: grounding, composition of mind and [emancipatory practices].

FORMAT: 

Stage I.

- 3 Online Workshops: August – October 2026

- Performers and composers present their artistic practices and prepare for the creation and performance of new works

- Q&A

Stage II.

- 3 Online Workshops: December 2026 – February 2027

- Sessions focused on score readings, analysis, reflection on the composed works, and preparation for the following one-week workshop at the festival 

- Q&A

Stage III.

- Workshop, rehearsals and performances at the seventh Bled Contemporary Music Week in Bled Slovenia with professional documentation: between June 14 and 25, 2027

The precept.concept.percept residency focuses on a collaborative creative process in which composers and performers work closely together in preparation for a performance at the seventh Bled Contemporary Music Week in Bled, Slovenia, EU. 

Composers write new works or develop existing program, while performers form an ensemble to engage with these compositions, refine their skills, and expand their practice through premiering them. During the online sessions, participants are invited to think about and discuss their work within the framework of the proposed theme for the upcoming edition: grounding, composition of mind, and [emancipatory practices]. 

The program offers a valuable opportunity for artistic development through activity and exchange, as well as for establishing new international relationships.
