RESIDENCY PROGRAM FOR COMPOSERS, PERFORMERS, CONDUCTORS and ENSEMBLES

[August 2026 – June 2027]

The precept.concept.percept residency centers on a dynamic, collaborative creative process in which performers and composers work closely together to prepare for a performance at the seventh Bled Contemporary Music Week in Bled, Slovenia.

Composers write new works, while performers form an ensemble to engage with these compositions, refine their skills, and expand their practice through premiering them. Composers may choose either to write for an existing ensemble joining the program or to select the instrumentation from among the participating performers applying to form a new ensemble, depending on the applicant pool.

During the online sessions, participants are invited to think about and discuss their work within the framework of the proposed theme for the upcoming edition: grounding, composition of mind, and [emancipatory practices].

- 3 Online Workshops: August – October 2026; each consisting of three consecutive sessions, Monday–Wednesday

- 3 Online Workshops: December 2026 – February 2027; each consisting of three consecutive sessions, Monday–Wednesday

- Plan & preparation for performances

Stage III.

- Workshop, rehearsals and performances at the seventh Bled Contemporary Music Week in Bled Slovenia with professional documentation: between June 14 and 25, 2027.
