There is no application fee. A partecipation fee applies only to selected participants: €2,800 (Early Bird, before March 16, 2026) or €3,200 (Regular, after March 16). This fee covers all tuition, full board and lodging, meals, recording sessions, the Venice excursion, airport shuttle service, and all program activities.Details
The Screen Music Program is a 10-day artistic residency set in the breathtaking Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Belluno, Italy — just one hour from Venice. Composers live and work on campus with full board and lodging included, enjoying gourmet Italian cuisine and dedicated creative spaces designed for composing, studying, and connecting with fellow artists.Under the guidance of Hollywood professionals and leading academics, participants refine their craft through lectures, workshops, masterclasses, individual scoring lessons, and project-based work, while building a strong international network.Special Guests: Pinar Toprak (Grammy and Emmy-nominated composer of Captain Marvel, Fortnite, and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora), Michael Abels (Pulitzer Prize-winning, Emmy and Grammy-nominated composer of Get Out, Us, and Nope), David Buckley (Emmy-nominated composer of Jason Bourne, The Town, and Batman: Arkham Knight)Faculty: Alison Plante (Berklee College of Music), Enrica Sciandrone (Royal College of Music, London), Robbie Teehan (Canadian Screen Award-winning composer), Penka Kouneva (Grammy-winning composer and orchestrator), Davide Pensato (former Ubisoft Audio Director), and Luigi Di Guida (game composer and Lead Composer at dpstudios).Program Highlights:- attend the lecture and masterclass of our special guests Pinar Toprak, Michael Abels and David Buckley- have your string quartet tracks professionally recorded (violin I, violin II, viola, and cello). After your recording session with the performers, you will receive the audio tracks you can integrate into your music- have the opportunity to take an online lesson with Grammy-winning composer and top studio orchestrator Penka Kouneva, who will provide expert feedback on the idiomatic writing for the string quartet before it is recorded- attend daily lectures on Spotting and Scoring, Orchestration, Compositional Devices, Applied Composition to DAW Scoring, Music under Dialogue and Narration by Alison Plante, Enrica Sciandrone, and Robbie Teehan- have individual Scoring Lessons with Alison Plante, Enrica Sciandrone, and Robbie Teehan- attend the adaptive music workshop by Davide Pensato and Luigi Di Guida with in-game testing: Structural Elements of Interactive Music, Introduction to Audio Implementation, Presentation and Analysis of the Project to be Developed during the Workshop, Asset Production, Testing in Game, Elements of Mixing and Finalization- have your work screened at our screening event- get your end-of-course certificate of achievement- be part of the Program’s Alumni and join one of the largest international network of film composers, accessing new opportunities, commissions, collaborations, and screenings- Exclusive discounts on career coaching services from The Pro Composer and free lifetime access to “30-Day Social Media Mastery for Composers” online courseWho Should Apply: Composers seriously committed to applied composition for screen media, from students and recent graduates to professionals seeking a focused artistic residency.Application Requirements: A resume and a link to audio files representing the applicant's style.
