TWOSOME - International Commissioning Project 2026

Istantanea, in collaboration with ECHI Festival, launches the first edition of TWOSOME, an international commissioning project for new works for clarinet and cello (electronics optional).

Selected composers will have their works performed by Michele Fontana (clarinet) and Elide Sulsenti (cello) during the ECHI Festival 2026 spin-off event at Castello di Mongiorgio (Bologna, Italy).

Commission details:
 • Up to 3 commissions: €500 duo, €300 solo pieces
 • Live performance and professional audio/video recording
 • Option to stay at Castello di Mongiorgio during the event
 • Application fee: €15

How to apply:
 Submit your portfolio including 1 - 3 scores in PDF format, each with an audio or MIDI recording. At least one composition must include a string or woodwind instrument. Optionally, you may include a short proposal for the new piece.

Deadlines:
 Opening: November 11, 2025
 Submission: February 7, 2026
 Results: February 15, 2026
