Akim Zvarych is a Ukrainian violinist, violist, and composer. He was born in 2004 in Kyiv. He received his musical education at the Kyiv Children's Music School No. 10 and the R. Glier Kyiv Municipal Academy of Music (studying violin with Andrii Fesiuk and Andrii Pavlov).

As a violinist, he has participated in numerous international festivals, masterclasses, and academies in Ukraine, Poland, Belgium, Switzerland, and Germany, including the Morawa Music Academy (2019), International Chamber Music Festival Koblenz (2024), Kyiv Baroque Fest (2025), Young Ensemble Academy Ensemble Modern (2026), Gaudeamus Festival (2026), and others. He has honed his performance skills in masterclasses with musicians such as Amandine Beyer, Marc Bouchkov, Raphaël Merlin, Giorgos Panagiotidis, Anna Gebert, Pablo Schatzman, Eva Rabchevska, Sergey Ostrovsky, and others, as well as his composition skills with Sven-Ingo Koch, Étienne Haan, and Oleksii Shmurak.

As a composer and instrumentalist, he participated in the "Music Student Exchange" Ukraine – Canada project (2023). In 2023, he took part in the performance "Hide and Seek with Mr. Lyatoshynsky," and in 2024, he composed the music for the performance "Mr. Schoenberg's Bizarre Tales."

Since 2025, he has been an artist with the contemporary opera laboratory Opera Aperta. As part of the ensemble, he has participated in the performances of the operas "GAIA-24. Opera del mondo" at the Schall und Rausch festival (Berlin, 2025), "Actor's House. Breath" (Zaporizhzhia, 2025), and "Mōdraniht. Songs of Winter War" at the KЇ Fest (Kyiv, 2026), Rotterdam Operadagen (Rotterdam, 2026), and Wiener Festwochen (Vienna, 2026).

As a performer and composer, he collaborates with various ensembles, such as the National Ensemble of Soloists "Kyiv Camerata", the Chamber and Symphony Orchestras of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, the contemporary music ensemble Ensemble 24, IEMA Ensemble, "Ricochet", and Petrichor Ensemble, as well as with a number of performers and composers, including Oleksii Shmurak, Nataliia Stets, Sven-Ingo Koch, Oleksandr Chornyi, Yana Shliabanska, Mykhailo Chedryk, and others.

His compositions have been performed in Ukraine, Germany, Switzerland, Finland, the Netherlands, and Canada. He receives grant support from the VERE MUSIC FUND (Ukraine).

In 2026, Akim was supported in composition by the ULYSSES Platform at Gaudeamus Festival, as well as for Lviv Philharmonic's Pro and Contra. New Music Stage, as part of his ULYSSES Journey.
