EMERGING ENSEMBLE: NEKO3

NEKO3 is a Copenhagen-based experimental group supported by the ULYSSES Platform as an emerging ensemble. It consists of three members: pianist/performer Fei Nie and two percussionists/performers Lorenzo Colombo and Kalle Hakosalo.
In 2025, this emerging ensemble participated in DRAGONBLOOD, a genre-bending, interdisciplinary festival in a game-inspired fantasy realm, where dragons, fairies, magicians and guest artists from around the world guide you on an immersive emotional quest.
Blending club culture, RPGs, opera, pop concerts, live fortune-telling and ancient tales, DRAGONBLOOD offers sword fights, digital ballads, magic potions, fallen angels—and a motivational Dragon that has been summoned.
The collective ONLY SLIME, founded by composer-performers Tobi Pfeil and Claudia Cox, was in residence at Det Norske Teatret, Scene 3. Ultima gave them free rein to programme their own festival-within-a-festival, running from 13 to 20 September 2025.
In addition to NEKO3, performers included Team Rolfes (US), Kevin Peter He (CN), DJ Trick (US), Dragongirl (NO), Frida Marida (LBN), and actors from the theatre’s talent programme — all of whom stepped into DRAGONBLOOD’s digital fantasy world at different times throughout the week.
