Organised by Mixtur, Spain

After a stop at Time of Music, Trio Abstrakt arrives at the Festival Mixtur as one of the most exciting ensembles on the European contemporary music scene. Consisting of Salim(a) Javaid on saxophone, Marlies Debacker on piano and Alexandre Silva on percussion, the trio combines the rigour of the classical chamber music tradition with a fully contemporary approach. They achieve this through close collaboration with composers to develop new works and explore unusual sound possibilities. The ensemble's diverse instrumentation enables them to delve into various musical styles, incorporating influences from improvisation, electronic music, classical music, rock and jazz.
