ULYSSES Emerging Ensemble FRAMES Percussion travels to Oslo, meeting young musicians from Oslo kulturskole (Oslo School of the Arts) for an In Situ that unfolds across the public spaces of Voldsløkka.
The performance opens with Julian Sartorius’s RLLRLRLLRRLRLRLRLLRLRLR and continues with Alberto Bernal’s Passage, co-commissioned by Ultima Oslo Contemporary Music Festival and Mixtur, combining percussion with projections of reels, selfies, gossip and politics. As the piece develops, the performers and students move further into the streets and public spaces, bringing the performance into the surrounding cityscape.
