- Anne Castex
Translation: Vif-creux, or the frozen imprint of a movement. What remains after having been. In this piece, our focus is less on the gesture itself than on what it leaves behind. A friction, an impulse—which, after passing through, open up a space or leave a trail in the material. The absence of movement that once existed. The presence of movement in what it leaves behind.
Anne Castex is a composer of instrumental, electroacoustic, and mixed music. She develops a language attuned to social realities, drawing on personal experience and everyday life to nourish her musical thinking.
